Ever since I was a young boy I wanted to see the world.

That meant work, work, work.

My early years were a cycle of entry-level jobs to save money for future trips.

Toll booth worker, delivery driver, laundromat attendant, to name a few.

At age 20, I backpacked Central America and Mexico and later relocated to Costa Rica to finish university.

Figuring out life young, broke, and in the developing world was by far the best education I ever received.

After college, I landed my 'dream job’ travelling around the USA as a student recruiter for a US-based study abroad company.

At 25, I quit that job to bicycle across South America.

A paradigm shift happened as I pedaled the humid jungles and steep mountains between Colombia and Argentina.

I became determined to find a financially sustainable way to travel.

In 2011, my bicycle trip ended in Buenos Aires, Argentina but I was still curious about countries beyond Latin America.
